Look at Dan Latham’s pizza oven on wheels caught in action last Friday in front of the Sweet Auburn Curb Market.
Latham, who trained in New York under Mario Batali at Po’ and Studio del Gusto, owned L&M Kitchen and Salumeria (L = Latham & M = Marsh, his wife’s maiden name) in Oxford, Mississippi, for five years.
“My lease came up last year and I needed a bigger market to operate,” he wrote us, while on the road touring farms in south Georgia. “I was inspired by a couple in the bay area who have a similar oven and run all over the bay area making great pizza out of the farmers’ markets.”
